About the project<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

RRRRRUMBA is an international project that uses the cultural phenomenon of rumba as a starting point to\ndevelop a participatory methodology for intercultural community building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through three field studies involving a unique set of partner organizations, we actively connect different Rumbero\ncommunities in Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Together, we aim to explore the cultural distinctiveness of this\nunique art form and its know-how for cultural participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the joint organization of three festivals with workshops and performances, and one traveling exhibition,\nwe want to give a tangible boost to preserving this heritage, encouraging contemporary expressions of it, and\nconnecting this art form with new audiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are also focused on building a sustainable expert network and developing a unique participatory\nmethodology. This methodology will be useful in the European and global cultural sector to connect individuals\nand communities from diverse backgrounds in an inclusive, horizontal, and co-creative way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who are we looking for?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are currently seeking a graphic designer to visually shape the project. Specifically, you will\ncreate a series of communication tools for use by the project partners in both overall and\nindividual communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These tools must reflect the cultural diversity of the various communities and countries involved,\nwith attention to language diversity as well. Familiarity with the participating countries and\ncommunities, or being a member of a rumba community, is a plus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deliverables (subject to expansion):<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Logo<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Style guide, including fonts, color schemes, etc., which will also form the basis for the\nwebsite\u2019s design<\/em> website layout and design<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Social media templates, including usable frames<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Graphic elements for a final publication on the project\u2019s research<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These tools will be developed in consultation with the project coordinators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
